About Me And My Family

I expect you must have stumbled upon this page randomly if you are reading this, or maybe you just were curious as to what I would write about myself on this part of the page and have really known me forever?

My name is Maria Nordmo Stamatopoulos, and I am 25 years old. I was born in Tromso a little city north of no-where in Norway. Other than Norway I have lived in Greece, Denmark, Canada and now Sweden. I am now pregnant with my second child, due in April 2012

This is me

My husband, Kenny Stamatopoulos is a professional football player now playing for AIK Stockholm. We met in Norway when he was playing for T.I.L, the club of my home town. We have been married for a bit over two years, and been together for over 5 years. His job comes with pros and cons, and the moving around part is the hardest part. I blog about him some.

This is him

I have a soon to be 2 year old son Nicholas Riley who is the best thing that has ever happened to me, I blog about him a lot.

This is him

We also have a dog, Charlie, who is nine years old but still acts like a puppy. I don’t blog about him much, but he is always there!

This is him

We have lived here in Sweden for two years, and are still exploring the city and all it has to offer!

On this blog I write about the small things that make my days special. My family, my life, my friends and my experiences.

Maria

    Hi Maria
Love your photo of Kenny Pavey. Would it be ok to use that on our website, which is about Millwall, the team he supports?

Hello Maria, came across your blog and found it interesting! Lovely kinds!
Soon I will be moving from Italy to Stockholm with my family and so it was nice to see the perspective of a “foreign” mom enjoying the city. Hey no more posts from sept – I guess that days with two kids it got very busy for you :-), but it will be nice to see more pics and up-dates about moms in Stockholm.
My baby is 4 months old..growing fast and will be 9 when we will move there.
As you have lots of experience and know the city so well would you mind if I ask you for some advice regarding kindergartens: do you know if there are kindergartens in Stockholm that take babies who are less than 12 months old? Do you have some suggestion which ones are really good for foreigners who have no clue of Swedish language?
Many thanks! and lots of regards from a sunny town in the north of Italy,
    Romy

    • Hi! 🙂 welcome to Stockholm (soon) I suggest you join the group English Speaking Mums in Sweden on facebook! An excellent way to get to know people here in Sweden (and loads of girls from Stockholm) no Swedish daycares don’t take kids under one- but there are plenty of international daycares to choose from! We have our son (and soon daughter) in an international one in solna! 🙂 look me up on instagram dag2dag and we can talk more there!
